NILD (National Institute for Learning Development)
Students with learning differences are often lost in school systems that provide band-aid solutions. At NILD, our innovative, research-backed therapies develop the whole student, teaching them how to think, not just what to think… So they excel at school and become confident, independent learners who are prepared for life. NILD trains educators in transformational strategies that enable individuals to become more effective learners. NILD provides accredited training for educators and offers graduate credit education and special education coursework as well as degree programs through several universities. NILD's proven methodologies strengthen students' thinking, attention, and problem solving skills. Educators using NILD methodologies use research-based best practices to improve reading, writing, spelling, and math skills for struggling learners. NILD educators help students create work ethic and develop perseverance that drives confidence and competence while empowering life long learners. If you are an educator or a specialist, we provide training to help you get the resources you need to serve today’s neurodiverse learner. You can get certified to become a Certified Educational Therapist and even get your master's degree in Educational Therapy. If you are a parent, you can find an educational therapist to help support your child. And there are trainings you can take to assist your child as they learn. If you are an administrator, you can bring an NILD Discovery Program to your school. This program enables your teachers to better serve all learners in the classroom.
