Miguel de Vega, Ph.D. has worked in a variety of roles throughout their career. In 2006, they began their career as an IT Consultant for Nokia Siemens Networks. In 2008, they took on the role of Project Manager for Open Canarias, a software development company, where they managed development and sold modernization software to financial institutions. In 2011, they co-founded and became CEO of Browseye Inc., a company that automatically scanned web pages to find information that mattered to users. In 2012, they co-founded and became CEO of Dialective.com and CIO of iFlikeU Inc., a company that allowed users to connect with Facebook friends. In 2014, they joined Treexor as VP of Data Science and also became a Tech Advisor for Sedicii. From 2017 to 2021, they worked as CTO for Sedicii, a company that developed advanced cryptographic technology to securely manage personal information, and was recognized as a World Economic Forum Technology Pioneer. In 2021, they became Chief Scientific Officer for Nillion, a new type of distributed ledger technology.

Miguel de Vega earned their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Telecommunications Engineering from Universit\u00e9 Libre de Bruxelles (ULB) between 2004 and 2008. Miguel then attended Oxygen Accelerator 2013 from 2013 to 2014 to study lean startup methodology. Miguel de Vega's educational background also includes a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) in Telecommunications Engineering from Universidad Polit\u00e9cnica de Madrid (UPM) which they earned between 1992 and 1999.
