Sophia Jäckel (She/ Her)

Sophia Jäckel is currently working as the Head of People and Culture at nilo.health, starting in November 2022. Prior to that, they held the position of Director People EU & Global L&D at SoundCloud from April 2020 to November 2022. Sophia also worked at BCG Digital Ventures as the Head of People from November 2019 to April 2020, a People and Talent Manager from July 2018 to October 2019, and as a People Tech & Talent Lead from September 2017 to June 2018. Before joining BCG Digital Ventures, Sophia worked at SoundCloud as the L&D Lead + HR Business Partner (Europe) from January 2017 to August 2017, as a Senior Manager and Team Lead for Executive Support from September 2015 to December 2016, and as a Workplace Manager and Team Lead from July 2014 to August 2015. Sophia has also worked as a Personnel Consultant at Konstroffer & Partner International from January 2014 to July 2014, and as a Lawyer for Labor Law and Administrative Law at Jäckel Rechtsanwälte from September 2012 to July 2014. Prior to these roles, they served as the Managing Director at Allgemeine Bildungs Akademie GmbH from July 2011 to September 2012. Sophia has also worked as a Legal Trainee at Baumgarten Brandt Rechtsanwälte from February 2009 to December 2010, as an Operations Manager at Mitton International Wines GmbH from October 2007 to November 2008, and as an Account Manager at New Way Telecom GmbH from February 2007 to September 2007.

Sophia Jäckel's education history includes obtaining a Second State Examination degree in Law from Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. Sophia also has a State examination degree in Law with a focus on labour law from the European-University Viadrina. Additionally, Jäckel studied Political Science at Goethe University. Sophia further enhanced their skills by completing a Certified Agile Leader program at HR Pioneers.
