Justin Caravella

Justin Caravella has a strong background in computational chemistry and drug discovery. Justin is currently working as a Senior Director of Computational Chemistry at Nimbus Therapeutics. Prior to this, they held roles at CAMP4 Therapeutics, where they served as the Director of Chemistry and Lead Data Scientist in Chemistry. Before that, they worked at FORMA Therapeutics, Inc. as a Principal Scientist and Senior Scientist. Justin also has experience at Biogen Idec, where they led group efforts in computational protein design and contributed to small molecule discovery projects. Additionally, they worked at GlaxoSmithKline as a Principal Scientist, focusing on computational chemistry applied to drug discovery. Their expertise includes structure-based ligand design, protein modeling and design, protein-ligand docking, virtual screening, and more.

Justin Caravella obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Duke University, where they studied from 1992 to 1996. Justin further pursued their education at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where they obtained a PhD in Biological Chemistry from 1996 to 2002.
