Their tenure at Atomwise was from August 2019 to April 2021.

Bryan's academic experience includes roles at Emory University School of Medicine and Emory University. At Emory University School of Medicine, they held positions such as Assistant Professor, Instructor of Pediatrics, and Post-Doctoral Fellow. Bryan focused on structural and statistical models to discover antiviral drug candidates, utilized structure-based drug design to discover agents for various viruses, and lead structure-based design for antiviral compounds. Their time at Emory University School of Medicine lasted from June 2015 to August 2019.

Prior to that, Bryan was a Postdoctoral Fellow at Emory University and a Chemistry Graduate Student Research Assistant at The University of Alabama at Birmingham. At both institutions, they worked on computational and biophysical chemistry related to drug discovery. Their work involved guiding drug design, training students, presenting scientific findings, and writing grant proposals. Bryan was at Emory University from August 2012 to June 2015 and at The University of Alabama at Birmingham from April 2006 to August 2012.

To kickstart their career, Bryan worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the University of West Georgia, where they conducted research in organic and inorganic chemistry. Bryan also served as a Resident Assistant, overseeing residence halls and organizing programs for students. Their time at the University of West Georgia lasted from January 2003 to May 2005.

Overall, Bryan Cox has extensive experience in computational chemistry, drug discovery, and academia, with a focus on antiviral drug candidates and structure-based drug design.

Bryan Cox has a strong educational background in Chemistry and Biochemistry. Bryan obtained their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Chemistry with a focus on Biochemistry from the University of West Georgia, graduating in 2006. Bryan then went on to pursue further education at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where they obtained a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Chemistry with a specialization in Biochemistry, completing their studies in 2010. Bryan Cox continued their education at the same institution and earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Chemistry, specializing in Biophysical Chemistry, in 2012.
