Mark Cartwright, DVM, PhD, Fellow IATP has an extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Mark is currently serving as the SVP of Nonclinical Science & Quality at Nimbus Therapeutics, a position they have held since November 2021. Prior to joining Nimbus Therapeutics, they were the MGR for Global Pharmacon, LLC from November 2013. Mark has also held various leadership positions at Achillion Pharmaceuticals, where they served as Vice President of Drug Safety & Toxicology from 2014 to January 2022. Before joining Achillion Pharmaceuticals, they worked at Merck as an Executive Director from 2009 to 2013. Mark started their career at Schering-Plough Research Institute as a Senior Director from 1996 to 2009. Mark's early experience in the pharmaceutical industry includes working as a Senior Research Fellow at Merck from 1987 to 1996.

Mark Cartwright, DVM, PhD, Fellow IATP, obtained their Bachelor's degree in Pre-Medicine/Pre-Medical Studies from West Virginia University from 1976 to 1979. Mark then pursued their Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from Louisiana State University from 1979 to 1983. After that, they attended Colorado State University from 1983 to 1987, where they earned their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Experimental and Comparative Pathology.
