Michael Payne BA, CIM, has served as the Executive Director of Nine Circles Community Health Centre since 2005, overseeing the overall operations of the health centre and acting as the administrative lead for the Manitoba HIV Program. With a strong focus on planning and communication, Michael ensures that the Board of Directors is well-informed on key issues and engages regional, provincial, and federal stakeholders. Additionally, responsibilities include managing an average annual budget exceeding $4,000,000. Prior experience includes serving as the Executive Director of the AIDS Shelter Coalition of Manitoba, Inc., and as a Residential Supervisor at Winnserv, Inc. Michael holds a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology from The University of Winnipeg and a CIM in Business Administration and Management from the University of Manitoba.

Nine Circles Community Health Centre
A non-profit, community-based organization, Nine Circles Community Health Centre has expertise in the care and treatment of HIV, Hepatitis C and other sexually transmitted infections. We deliver comprehensive primary care, social support, education and prevention services to those who are most likely to experience barriers to health care. At Nine Circles, we offer a wide range of programs and services that seek to address the physical, mental, emotional and social aspects of people's lives. We actively work to address health inequities and recognize the role of the social determinants of health in people’s lives, including the adverse impacts of poverty, social exclusion and stigma. We operate with a harm reduction approach, meeting people where they're at and empowering clients to make informed choices based on accurate information and a range of options. Our programs and services include: - Primary care services - STBBI (sexually transmitted & blood-borne infection) testing - Specialized care for those who are living with HIV - Social support, advocacy & outreach services - Health promotion workshops & community education sessions - Supply distribution for safer drug use and safer sex - sexual health promotion and awareness events - professional mentorship for health care practitioners - Indigenous cultural support programming We are also founding partners of the Manitoba HIV Program, and the Manitoba HIV-STBBI Collective Impact Network, which work to transform the landscape of HIV and STBBIs in Manitoba by bringing like-minded people together to address challenges through collective action.
