Chuck Kosman has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Chuck began their career as a Lead Educator at the Eleanor Buck Wolf Nature Center, where they generated and implemented lessons on natural sciences. Chuck then worked as an Undergraduate Student Researcher at McGill University, conducting research on tracing anthropogenic sulfur.
Following their research position, Chuck joined the UBC Centre for Teaching, Learning and Technology as an Instructional Skills Workshop Facilitator, where they co-taught workshops on active learning principles to graduate students. Chuck also held multiple roles at The University of British Columbia, including Museums and Communications Coordinator, Educational Programs Coordinator, EarthMatters Editor-in-Chief, Writer, and Designer, and Teaching Assistant.
Chuck's experience in web development came from their time as a Web Developer at The Jibe, where they built front-end websites and applications using various platforms and technologies. Chuck then worked as an Instructor at Lighthouse Labs, teaching HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to students with little to no coding experience.
Chuck'se-commerce expertise was developed at Shopify, where they served as a Launch Engineer, overseeing onboarding and launches for high-volume brands. Chuck also created educational video content on GraphQL for the Shopify Partner ecosystem.
Chuck's most recent roles include Associate Solution Architect at Contentful, where they trained teams and guided marketing-driven organizations in content management best practices, and Senior Solutions Architect at Nacelle, where they provided architectural solutions and expertise.
Currently, Chuck is working as a Solutions Engineer at Ninetailed, utilizing their technical skills and expertise to support and provide solutions for the company's clients.
Chuck Kosman completed their education with a Bachelor of Science Honours degree in Earth Sciences from McGill University in 2013. Chuck then pursued a Master's degree in Geological Sciences from The University of British Columbia from 2013 to 2015. In 2017, Chuck attended Lighthouse Labs, where they completed a Web Development Bootcamp.
