Tom Melamed

Tom Melamed's work experience includes serving as the Head of Data Science at Ninety Percent of Everything, where they lead a team of 8 data scientists in improving services for clients in the global shipping industry. Tom is responsible for researching, designing, and implementing machine learning solutions, as well as managing projects and personnel. Prior to that, Tom worked at Calvium as a Director, where they held various roles including consultancy, client services, technical development, and strategic direction. Tom also served as the Accounts and Strategy Director at Calvium. Additionally, Tom was a Resident at Pervasive Media Studio and worked as the Head of Data Science at The Filter, where they led a team of 3 data scientists in enhancing the SaaS service for clients. Before that, they worked as a Researcher at Hewlett-Packard Laboratories.

Tom Melamed has a solid education history. In 1997, they began their academic journey at the University of Bristol, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics. Tom completed this undergraduate program in the year 2000. Following this, from 2000 to 2001, Tom enrolled in the University of Bristol again, this time for a Master of Science degree in Computer Science. Building upon their knowledge and skills, in 2018, they embarked on a Master's degree program in Data Science at the University of Bath, which they completed in 2019.
