Ronald Leabres

Ronald Leabres, CPA, MBA, CIA, CMA, CRMA has over 10 years of experience in finance and accounting. Ronald currently serves as the Head of Finance at Ninja Van, where they manage the month closing process and leads budgeting and forecasting efforts. Prior to this, they worked as the Finance Controller/ Finance Business Partner at Philips Philippines, Inc. From 2017 to 2019, they held the role of Financial Planning and Analysis Manager at LF Asia (Philippines), Inc., where they coordinated budget and forecast processes and provided financial insights. Ronald also worked as a Finance Manager at ALLIANCE SELECT FOODS INTERNATIONAL, INC., overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department and producing financial reports. Additionally, Ronald has experience in academia, serving as an Assistant Professor at Araullo University-Phinma Education Network and Central Luzón State University, where they taught accounting, finance, and taxation subjects and advised students on narrative reports and case studies. Ronald began their career as an Audit Associate at RS Bernaldo & Associates, CPAs, where they prepared audit programs, reports, and financial statements, and assessed client risk controls. Ronald Leabres obtained their Bachelor's degree in Accountancy from Central Luzón State University in 2014. Ronald then pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services from the same university from 2011 to 2014.

In terms of certifications, Ronald has earned multiple qualifications. Ronald became a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in 2008 and later obtained additional accreditation as an Accredited CPA in Public Practice. In 2012, they achieved the Certified Bookkeeper (UK) certification from the National Institute of Accounting Technician.

In 2013, Ronald obtained the TESDA Trainer and Assessor certification from TESDA: Technical Education and Skills Development Authority. Following that, in 2014, they became a Registered Cost Accountant (UK) through the National Institute of Accounting Technician.

Continuing their professional growth, Ronald obtained the Certified Internal Auditor certification from The Institute of Internal Auditors Inc. in 2018. The same year, they acquired the Certified Management Accountant (US) certification from IMA | Institute of Management Accountants. Ronald also attained the Accredited CPA in Commerce and Industry designation from the Professional Regulation Commission.

Most recently, in 2020, Ronald achieved the Certification in Risk Management Assurance (CRMA) from The Institute of Internal Auditors Inc.
