Jason "JC" Collins

Jason "JC" Collins has extensive experience in engineering and technology leadership roles. Jason "JC" is currently serving as the VP of Engineering at NinjaCat since October 2020. Prior to that, they held the same position at Covered Insurance from September 2017 to October 2020. Jason has also worked at Accruit | Financial Technology Services as an Advisor - Technology Review Board Member from February 2019 to May 2020. Jason "JC" served as an Advisor at Yippiekiyay Nonprofit Solutions from December 2014 to October 2019.

In terms of their educational background, Jason attended Turing School of Software & Design from March 2017 to September 2017, where they completed a 7-month intensive front-end software development program.

Before joining NinjaCat and Covered Insurance, Jason held various leadership positions. As the VP of Engineering at iTriage, LLC / Aetna from July 2015 to February 2017, they led the product software engineering teams, focusing on web and mobile technologies in the healthcare industry. At Ello, they worked as the VP of Engineering from January 2015 to July 2015, where they played a crucial role in building a team of engineers for the development of an ad-free social network.

Earlier in their career, Jason was the Director of Engineering at Quick Left from May 2014 to January 2015, leading a team of software consultants and overseeing various aspects of the company's operations. Jason "JC" also held the position of Director of Technology at Factory Design Labs, where they rebuilt the software development team from January 2014 to May 2014.

Jason's journey in engineering and technology began at ReadyTalk, where they worked from October 2008 to December 2013. Jason "JC" started as an Engineering Manager and implemented agile processes to benefit the company's talented engineering team. Jason "JC" later became the VP of Engineering, leading the growth of the engineering team and scaling software processes. Jason also served as an Innovation Evangelist, driving internal innovation efforts and collaborating with the executive team on innovation strategy.

Throughout their career, Jason has demonstrated a strong focus on leadership, team building, and creating innovative solutions in various industries.

Jason "JC" Collins began their education by attending the University of Colorado Denver from 1994 to 1998. During this time, they focused on Computer Science and Computer Information Systems, although they did not obtain a specific degree.

In 2017, Collins enrolled at the Turing School of Software & Design, where they pursued a degree in Front-End Software Engineering. Jason "JC"'sfield of study at Turing focused specifically on Front-End Engineering.
