John Weglein

John Weglein is currently a Software Engineer at NinjaOne. John has over 17 years of experience in the IT field.

John started their career as Primary IT Support at Data Quest, LLC from June 2003 to August 2007. John then transitioned to ManTech International Corporation as a Software Engineer, Staff from March 2008 to May 2012. In September 2012, John joined Thales (LiveTV) and was with the company until October 2019, when they joined NinjaOne.

At Thales (LiveTV), John used SAFe processes to develop an embedded Android IFE solution targeting an ARM core using Java, Qt, and QML. John also pitched, designed, and implemented a content management system using a COTS Widevine implementation. John designed and developed satellite video delivery system using Python, C++, XML, JSON, and SOAP on an embedded Linux target. John was responsible for analyzing customer requirements and designing, prototyping and developing implementations that meet or surpass customer requirements. John also prototyped and finalized displays based on customer direction and analyzed, designed and implemented QML <=> C++ interfaces for the display. Furthermore, they implemented audio streaming from a multicast SiriusXM source. Additionally, they helped transition the development team from using ClearCase for version control to Git and Gerrit for code reviews.
