Cynthia Gordon is the Vice President of Strategic Communications for Nintendo of America. Cynthia has over 20 years of experience in the communications field, including work with major brands like Chrysler and Dunkin' Brands.
Cynthia started their career in 1992 at GolinHarris, where they worked as an account director for Chrysler Corporation. Cynthia then moved to KPMG in 1997, where they served as the Global Director of Brand and Internal Communications. In 2001, they joined Dunkin' Brands as the Director of Global Communications.
After two years at Dunkin' Brands, Cynthia joined Universal Orlando Resort as the Vice President of Public Relations and New Media. Cynthia spent four years at Universal Orlando before joining 360 Public Relations in 2008. At 360 Public Relations, Cynthia served as the Senior Vice President of Digital and Social Media.
In their current role at Nintendo, Cynthia is responsible for leading the company's communications efforts, including media relations, social media, and corporate communications. Under their leadership, Nintendo has seen increased positive media coverage and engagement on social media platforms.
Cynthia Gordon began their educational career at the International School of Brussels, a high school. Cynthia then went on to study journalism and economics at Northwestern University. After graduation, they worked in the field of journalism for a few years before returning to school to get their BA in political science and French literature from Tulane University.
Cynthia Gordon reports to Nick Chavez, SVP. Sales & Marketing. Some direct reports include Charlie Scibetta - Senior Director of Corporate Communications - Nintendo of America, Marc Franklin - Senior Director of Public Relations. They work with Stephanie Peters - Director of Advertising & Marketing Partnerships, Barbara Pritchard - Director of Online Marketing, and Susan Meyers-Renners - Senior Director of Retail Marketing & Retail Strategy.
