Jalal Vakili

Jalal Vakili is a highly experienced Principal Engineer at Ninyo & Moore Geotechnical and Environmental Sciences Consultants, where tenure began in April 1993. Prior to this position, Jalal served as Principal Engineer and Program Manager at Leighton & Associates from 1988 to 1993, and held the role of Principal Engineer at Battelle between 1985 and 1988. Jalal's engineering expertise began at Morrison-Knudsen as a Senior Engineer from 1980 to 1985. Additionally, Jalal contributed to academia as a Visiting Professor at UC Berkeley in 1979-1980 and as Professor and Chairman of the Structural Engineering Department at Sharif University of Technology from 1975 to 1979. Jalal also chaired the Civil Engineering Department at Tabriz University from 1970 to 1975. Educational credentials include a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Geotechnical and Geoenvironmental Engineering from Université Paris-Sorbonne (1965-1969) and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Civil Engineering from Tabriz University (1961-1965).
