Jerry Hollister

Jerry Hollister has worked in a variety of roles since 1987. Jerry began their career as a Naval Officer in the Civil Engineer Corps of the United States Navy. In 1993, they became an Ordained Minister for the International Churches of Christ. From 2003 to 2006, they served as Director of Special Events for Habitat for Humanity Michigan and then as Director of Building Operations for Thomas M. Cooley Law School. From 2006 to 2007, they were a Trustee for Lansing Community College and was responsible for approving and overseeing a $130 million annual budget. From 2008 to 2017, they worked at Niowave Inc in various roles, including Chief Operating Officer/Director of Government Relations and Board of Directors. Since 2017, they have been a Senior Principal Consultant at BBC Entrepreneurial Training & Consulting LLC, where they act as a one-on-one coach to clients applying to the SBIR/STTR program. Jerry has built relationships with several agencies, including DOD, DOE, DHS, NSF, USDA, NASA, EPA, and NIST. During their tenure at Niowave, they oversaw the SBIR/STTR program and received over 40 awards worth over $20 million.

Jerry Hollister received a Bachelor's degree in Industrial & Operations Engineering from the University of Michigan in 1987. In 2020, they completed a certification in Artificial Intelligence: Implications for Business Strategy from the MIT Sloan School of Management.
