Han Dolman is an accomplished academic and researcher with extensive experience in the field of Earth Sciences. Currently serving as the Director of the NIOZ Royal Netherlands Institute for Sea Research since November 2021, Dolman also holds the position of Professor at the Department of Earth Sciences at VU University Amsterdam, where tenure began in 2001. Prior professional roles include Senior Researcher at Alterra, Wageningen NL from 1993 to 2001 and Senior Research Fellow at the Centre for Ecology and Hydrology from 1989 to 1993. Han Dolman earned a PhD in Physical Geography from the University of Groningen between 1984 and 1988.
