Takahiro Mori

EVP, Head of Global Business Development at Nippon Steel

Takahiro Mori has over 17 years of experience in the steel industry. Takahiro began their career as a project manager in the Sales Administration & Planning Division at Nippon Steel Corporation. In this role, they were responsible for managing the steel sales team and executing marketing research, new customer acquisition, and building a supply chain network from steel production to transportation to steel processing. Takahiro also successfully negotiated a long-term contract and managed projects.

In 2014, Takahiro Mori joined Nippon Steel & Sumitomo Metal Corporation as a Senior Sales Manager in the Energy Plant Products Marketing Department. In this role, they were responsible for managing the export team consisting of 6-7 people and selling steel plate products globally to customers in the energy sector, such as offshore oil & gas drilling and production, LNG tank and plants, offshore wind power, and so on.

In 2016, Takahiro Mori was promoted to EVP, Head of Global Business Development at Nippon Steel. In this role, they are responsible for developing and executing the company's global business strategy.

Takahiro Mori has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of California, San Diego - Rady School of Management, a field in Business English from UCSD Extension, and a Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences from Kyoto University.

Takahiro Mori works with Shuji Sohma - Managing Executive Officer, Nobuo Okochi - Executive Officer, and Kazumasa Shinkai - Managing Executive Officer. Takahiro Mori reports to Eiji Hashimoto, President.
