Ashiv Hans Dhondea, MEng, MSc(Eng) has over 10 years of work experience in various roles across multiple industries. In 2022, they began working as a 3D Graphics Engineer at Niricson and a Technical Writer at Porton Health. In 2020, they were a Graduate Student at Simon Fraser University. From 2018 to 2020, they were a Graduate Electrical Engineer at GIBB (Mauritius). From 2015 to 2018, they were a MSc Student and Course Tutor - EEE3068F Electronic Circuits at the University of Cape Town. From 2011 to 2015, they were a Student and PHY2010S Class Representative at the University of Cape Town. In 2013, they were a Software Engineer Intern at Peralex Electronics and a Student Mentor at the EBE Faculty, University of Cape Town. In 2012, they were a Tutor at Kopano Residence and in 2011, they were a Trainee Engineer at the Central Electricity Board, Mauritius.

Ashiv Hans Dhondea completed their Master of Engineering (MEng) at Simon Fraser University in 2021, specializing in Engineering Science. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Science (MSc) in Radar Engineering from the University of Cape Town in 2017. Ashiv Hans also earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Cape Town in 2014. Ashiv Hans attended Royal College Curepipe for High School, where they studied Maths, Physics and Chemistry, from 2008 to 2009. Before that, they attended Phoenix State Secondary School from 2003 to 2007, where they studied Science. Additionally, they have obtained certifications in Verified International Academic Qualifications from World Education Services in 2020, Machine Learning with Andrew Ng from Coursera in 2015, and Image and Video Processing from Coursera in 2014.
