Anna Clausen has extensive work experience in various industries and roles. Anna is currently working as a Principal R&D Engineer at Niron Magnetics, Inc. since May 2023. Prior to this, they worked at 3M from 2017 to 2023, starting as a Senior Manufacturing Technology Engineer and later becoming a Nanofabrication Technology Specialist.

Before joining 3M, Anna worked as a Senior Materials Scientist at PIKE Technologies from 2015 to 2017, where they designed and developed a new integrating sphere and implemented process improvement initiatives. Anna also worked as a Research Engineer/Documentation at Convergent Science, Inc. from 2015 to 2015, where they created sections in manuals and developed a style guide.

Anna's earlier experience includes roles at Intel Corporation, where they worked as a Process Engineer and Rotation Engineer from 2012 to 2015. At Intel, they ran the operation of electroplating instruments and made significant improvements to save costs and improve stability. Anna also worked as a Program Assistant at Madison Children's Museum from 2011 to 2012, where they developed programming and mentored interns.

Anna's academic experience includes research and teaching roles at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Anna worked as a Research Assistant from 2006 to 2012, conducting experiments and writing research proposals. Anna also served as a Teaching Assistant from 2005 to 2006. Additionally, Anna worked as a Virtual Science Policy Intern at Scientists and Engineers for America (SEA) in 2010.

Before their career in the industry, Anna worked as a Mathematics Faculty at Mercersburg Academy in 2004, where they taught courses and advised students. Anna also assisted in designing a new astronomy course and led outdoor trips. Anna briefly worked as a Research Assistant at Oberlin College in 2004.

Anna Clausen received their Bachelor of Arts degree in Physics from Oberlin College from 2000 to 2004. Anna then pursued their Master of Science degree in Materials Science at the University of Wisconsin-Madison from 2005 to 2008. Anna further continued their education at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Materials Science from 2008 to 2012.
