Pamela Silva

Pamela Silva has a diverse work experience that spans several industries and roles. Pamela most recently worked as a Project Manager at nirvanaHealth | RxAdvance starting in September 2022. Prior to that, they were a Project Coordinator at the City of Norwalk, Connecticut from March 2019 to July 2021. In this role, they coordinated community members and stakeholders to address inequities in Norwalk's emergency food system. Pamela also assisted in the development of the Norwalk Community Food Report.

Before their role at the City of Norwalk, Pamela worked as a Clinic Engagement Associate at the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene from October 2017 to November 2018. Pamela was responsible for monitoring the evaluation of a clinic linkage model and acted as a liaison to established clinic partnerships in New York City.

Pamela also has experience working at UNICEF, where they served as a Consultant from March 2015 to September 2016. In this role, they provided consultancy on a rationalization project and developed a tracking system to monitor project activities. Pamela also provided trainings to country offices on a new system. Prior to that, they interned at UNICEF's Division of Financial and Administrative Management, where they reviewed financial reporting schedules submitted by country offices.

Additionally, Pamela has worked as a Visiting Student at Tufts University's Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine and at North Carolina State University's Veterinary Hospital in 2011. Pamela also gained experience at UPIS University Microbiology Lab as well as Ministerio da Agricultura Pecuaria e Abastecimento as an intern. Pamela started their career as a TA at Faculdade Pio Décimo's PIO X Parasitology Lab.

Pamela Silva began their education in 2005 at União Pioneira de Integração Social (UPIS), where they pursued a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree in Veterinary Medicine. Pamela completed their DVM in 2011. In 2012, they attended Harvard Extension School for a short duration to study Introduction to Epidemiology under the Public Health Department in Cambridge, MA. From 2013 to 2015, they furthered their education at Cambridge College, earning a Master's degree in Management. Currently, Pamela is enrolled at Boston University, pursuing a course in Project Management, which they began in 2022.
