Svetlana Shevchenko has a comprehensive work experience spanning over a decade. Svetlana started their career as an intern at the Moscow State Institute of International Relations in 2007. Svetlana then joined the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Serbia in 2008, where they held various roles, including Attaché in the Political section, Chief of Protocol and PA to Ambassador, and Press attaché, Third secretary. In 2013, Svetlana joined NIS a.d. Novi Sad, where they took up roles such as GR Manager for the Russian Federation and Head of Foreign Affairs & Overseas GR. Their most recent position at NIS a.d. Novi Sad is as the Head of Foreign Government Affairs, International Cooperation & Innovative Development Support.

Svetlana Shevchenko's education history includes a specialization in the field of Environmental Law at the Faculty of Law, University of Belgrade, which they completed in 2014. Prior to that, they earned a Master's degree in International Business and Management from the University of Belgrade in 2012-2014. Their earliest degree is a Specialist degree with merits from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (University) MFA Russia MGIMO. Svetlana completed this 5-year program from 2003 to 2008, specializing in International Relations, Diplomacy, and Regional Studies (Balkan studies).

In addition to their formal education, they have obtained various certifications in areas such as Communication within Teams, Giving and Receiving Feedback, Interpersonal Communication, Persuading Others, Agile Requirements Foundations, Business Analysis Foundations, and Leadership Foundations.
