Vadim Smirnov

Vadim Smirnov is an experienced executive with a diverse background in corporate management, government relations, and internal auditing. Currently serving as Deputy CEO and director of the Function for government relations and corporate communications at NIS a.d. Novi Sad since 2011, Vadim Smirnov previously held roles as Regional General Manager and Head of Internal Audit Department within the same company. Prior to NIS, Vadim Smirnov worked at Gazprom Neft as Head of Corporate Security Department and Manager of Production, Processing and Services Division. Additionally, Vadim Smirnov's tenure at JSC Aeroflot - Russian Airlines spanned nearly a decade, with positions including Head of Financial Control Department and Regional Director for Africa, Middle East & South Eastern Asia. Early career experience includes roles at JSC Aeroflot and the Embassy of the Russian Federation to Romania. Vadim Smirnov's education includes a management degree from AviaBusiness High Commercial School and studies at the Diplomatic Academy of the Russian Ministry for Foreign Affairs, complemented by a Bachelor's degree from the Superior School of Marine Engineering in St. Petersburg.
