Marcella Cooper

Marcella Cooper is an experienced educator currently serving as the Secondary English Subject Team Lead at NIST International School since August 2022. Prior to this role, Marcella was the Head of the English Department and an English Language Acquisition Teacher at Keystone Academy in Beijing from August 2017 to February 2023. Marcella's teaching career also includes positions as a Language A/Humanities MYP Teacher at Osaka International School, where responsibilities encompassed Grade 6/7 Language A and Humanities instruction, as well as serving as the MYP Personal Project Coordinator and WASC Coordinator from August 2014 to August 2017. Previous roles include teaching English across various grade levels at Garden International School, where Marcella coordinated both internal and external CPD, and WillowWood School, where Marcella taught high school English and supervised cooperative education from August 2005 to August 2012. Academic qualifications include a Master’s Degree in Teaching English as a Second or Foreign Language from Temple University and dual Bachelor's Degrees in Education and Psychology from York University.
