Lauren Waggoner began their work experience in 2014 as a Solutions Consultant at UKG, where they worked until 2017. In 2018, they joined the University of California San Diego as a Graduate Student Researcher, focusing on developing therapeutic nanomaterials for traumatic brain injury. Their responsibilities included conducting experimental design, data analysis, and problem-solving for four research projects. Lauren also gained expertise in evaluating RNA therapeutics and bioconjugation techniques. Additionally, Lauren gained experience in small animal handling, surgeries, drug administration, and tissue collection. Lauren demonstrated strong organizational and project management skills while mentoring and managing other students. Most recently, in 2023, Lauren joined Nitto BioPharma as a Senior Scientist 1.
Lauren Waggoner completed their education at UC San Diego. Lauren obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Nanoengineering from 2010 to 2014. Subsequently, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Nanoengineering from 2017 to 2018. Finally, Lauren completed their education by earning a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Nanoengineering from UC San Diego between 2017 and 2022.
