Nitzan - The Israeli Association for Children and Adults with Learning Disabilities

Nitzan Association strives to identify, assess, and assist individuals with learning disabilities, adaptive problems, and functional difficulties reach their full potential inside and outside of the school system. To ensure equal treatment for every child with learning disabilities, Nitzan grants stipends to hundreds of children from low-income houses so they will be able to receive early diagnosis and treatment that will improve their educational outcomes, self-esteem and social development. We identify, diagnose, and treat thousands of children with learning disabilities in our 40 branches throughout Israel, train their parents with a unique model for parent coaching, the E.C.C (Emotional Cognitive Coaching) method, developed by our CEO, Dr. Maly Danino. The coaching process enables evaluation of achievements and measurable progress as the parents learn how to recognize ceartin behavioral patterns and acquires knowledge and skills that help them through exercises and practice better understand and cater their child. Furthermore, we provide rehabilitation services in the areas of occupation, housing, and recreation when required. We have individual rehabilitation programs which gradually prepares adults with learning disabilities and/or ADHD for independent life by providing them guidance to find a place of employment, and teaching daily skills that enable sustaining regular life and housing. In addition, we conduct workshops, lectures, seminars, and courses all around the world regarding learning disabilities and dealing with the consequent challenges of it and train professionals such as psychologists, social workers, counselors, speech therapists and more to accompany and support parents of children with learning disabilities and/or ADHD.
