Lori McEwen has a diverse work experience starting as an English instructor at the French Embassy in 2005. Lori also had a brief stint in 2007 as an office manager at DMB/Highlandsgroup LLC, where they assisted in marketing efforts and event coordination. Lori worked as a project planner at Olson-Olson Architects, LLP in between 2007 to 2015, researching properties, overseeing site plans, and processing applications to acquire state entitlements and construction permits. Lori joined Bruce Olson Construction in 2008 as a pre-project manager, where they negotiated and managed contracts with consultants and subcontractors, collaborated with utility companies for infrastructure planning, and supervised site development phases of residential and small-scale commercial construction projects until 2015. Later, in 2015, they worked as a management intern in economic development for the City of Burien, followed by joining Kidder Mathews in 2016 as a corporate real estate and investment associate. Lori's most recent experience is with Nitze-Stagen & Company, Inc., where they worked as a business development associate from 2017 to 2019 before assuming senior roles like senior project manager, development manager, and, currently, Vice President of Development.
Lori McEwen received their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Political Science from Muhlenberg College in 2005. In 2014, they began pursuing a Master's Degree in Urban Planning from the University of Washington, which they completed in 2016. Following this, they pursued another Master's Degree in Commercial Real Estate from the University of Washington, which they completed in 2017. In addition, in April 2011, they obtained a certification as a LEED Green Associate from USGBC.
