Ben Bellows has a long and varied work experience in the public health and international development sectors. In 2020, they became the Chief Business Officer at Nivi, Inc. From 2009-2010, Ben was an Associate II and Associate at the Population Council, where they managed a six year, US$8.3 million award by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and was a technical director on the Council's Frontline Health project. In 2010, they were a Term Member at the Council on Foreign Relations. From 2008-2006, Ben served as a Board Member at the National Peace Corps Association and the Northern California Peace Corps Association, and as a Technical Adviser at Venture Strategies for Health and Development. From 2002-2001, Ben was a Graduate Student at the University of California, Berkeley and a Research Fellow at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. In 1997, Ben was a Community Development Specialist at the US Peace Corps.
Ben Bellows received their Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Michigan in 1996, majoring in Economics and Theirtory. Ben then went on to pursue a Master of Public Health degree from the University of California, Berkeley, graduating in 2004 with a focus in Epidemiology, Biostatistics, and Social Behavior. Bellows continued their studies at the University of California, Berkeley, earning their PhD in Epidemiology in 2009.
