David Tresner-Kirsch

David Tresner-Kirsch has had a varied career in technology and linguistics. David began their professional career in 2004 as a Researcher at the Johns Hopkins Center for Language and Speech Processing. In 2005, they worked as a Tutor/Teacher for Kaplan. From 2007 to 2008, they were a Web Software Engineer for GoLoco and then a Senior Web Software Engineer for Brainshark. In 2012, they became a Faculty Lecturer in Language and Linguistics at Brandeis University. In 2010, they joined MITRE as a Principal Scientist in Human Language Technology and a Lead Artificial Intelligence Engineer. In this role, they were the Principal Investigator for TranScript, an internal R&D group focused on improving safety in pharmaceutical prescriptions through clinical decision support. David also contributed to several other groups working on challenges in medical informatics and machine translation. In 2020, they began working for Nivi, Inc. as the Chief Technology Officer and Chief Architect.

David Tresner-Kirsch received their MA in Computational Linguistics from Brandeis University in 2010 and their BA in Computer Science from Lehigh University in 2005.
