Alex Bi

Alex Bi is an experienced data engineer currently working at NIWA since December 2022, previously holding similar positions at IAG and the New Zealand Transport Agency. With a strong background in data engineering and analysis, Alex has executed ETL processes, conducted routine response analyses, and shared innovative ideas to enhance data practices. Academic achievements include a Master's degree in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from Grenoble INP - UGA and a Postgraduate Diploma in Mathematics from the University of Canterbury. Alex's expertise encompasses programming in Python and SQL, data visualization with PowerBI and ArcGIS, and hands-on experience with natural language processing and web scraping.
