Amit Rajpal has a diverse work experience in the finance industry. Amit started their career as a Research Analyst at Prime Securities in 1995. In 1997, they joined Morgan Stanley as a Research Analyst, specializing in Asian Banks. Amit later became the Managing Director, Head of Asian and Global Banks Research, and eventually the Managing Director and Head of the Asian Principal Strategies Group. In 2008, Rajpal joined Marshall Wace, where they held various roles including Portfolio Manager, Partner, Chief Executive Officer Asia, and currently holds the position of Managing Partner and Portfolio Manager. In 2017, they also co-founded and became the Chairman of the company Niyogin. Rajpal's extensive experience and leadership positions in major financial institutions demonstrate their expertise in the industry.
Amit Rajpal attended the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta from 1993 to 1995, where they pursued an MBA degree with a specialization in Finance. Prior to that, from 1990 to 1993, they studied at the Institute of Cost Accountants of India, earning a Grad. CWA degree in Cost and Management Accounting. During the same period, they also attended Narsee Monjee College of Commerce and Economics, where they obtained a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree.
