Joe Allen is a seasoned hardware engineer with extensive experience in designing hardware, firmware, and logic for a variety of applications, including robotics, medical devices, and consumer products. Since July 2016, Joe has been a Senior Hardware Engineer at NK Labs, LLC, focusing on advanced technologies such as FPGA and embedded processing. Prior roles include lead hardware designer at IBM Corporation, where Joe contributed to multiple generations of DataPower appliances, and principal hardware engineer positions at DataPower and Avici, where Joe worked on XML hardware accelerators and high-speed data processing. Joe's early career involved designing video capture and display cards, as well as contributing to innovative projects, such as an experimental robotic system. Joe holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
