Marc Smillie

Marc Smillie is currently working as a Senior Sales Manager at NKT Photonics since June 2022. Prior to this role, Marc worked as a Business Development Manager at Gas Sensing Solutions (GSS) from May 2020 to June 2022, and as a Sales and Marketing Executive at Photonic Solutions from August 2018 to May 2020. Marc also has experience as a Laser Research Engineer at Thales from September 2011 to March 2017, focusing on high energy solid-state laser R&D. Marc holds a degree in Msci Physics from the University of Strathclyde (2006-2011) and a Doctor of Engineering - EngD in Optics and Photonics from the same institution (2011-2018). Additionally, Marc completed a program at Edinburgh Business School, Heriot-Watt University from 2012 to 2014.
