Nicola Davies

Nicola Davies has extensive experience in human resources, starting in 1996 as an Accounts Payable Clerk at GSI Group Inc. Nicola then progressed through various HR roles at the company, including Cost Analyst, Payroll Administrator, Compensation and Benefits Analyst, and Senior HR Officer/HR Officer. At GSI Group Inc, they also served as an HR Manager, responsible for coordinating global HR and later as HR Manager for the EMEA region, overseeing HR operations across multiple countries and sites.

In 2016, Nicola joined NKT Photonics as an HR Director and was later promoted to the role of VP of Human Resources. In their current position, they are responsible for driving HR strategy and global HR operations for the company, which has experienced rapid growth and employs around 400 individuals.

Throughout their career, Nicola has demonstrated expertise in strategic and operational HR management, aligning resources with business objectives, providing HR solutions, and managing employee relations. Nicola also has experience in financial analysis and administration, including payroll, P&L analysis, and completion of VAT returns.

Nicola Davies completed their education with a CIPD Advanced Diploma in HR Management, earning an NVQ Level 7 (Masters) degree in Human Resource Management from 2013 to 2016. In 2016, they obtained a PRINCE2 Practitioner certification. Nicola also obtained a CIPD Certificate in Personnel Practice in 2007. Prior to that, from 2001 to 2003, they pursued studies at the Association of Accounting Technicians. Nicola's high school education took place at Ashlawn School from 1990 to 1994, where they achieved 9 B/C grade GCSEs, including English, Mathematics, and Science.
