Richard Middleton

Richard Middleton has over 30 years of work experience in the cable industry. Richard started their career as a Mechanical Apprentice at Pirelli General PLC in 1987. Richard then worked in various roles at Pirelli Construction, including Contracts Engineer, Senior Contracts Engineer, and Project Engineer, gaining experience in cable installation projects and working with major utilities and transmission operators. Richard also worked as a Contracts Manager at Pirelli Cables, overseeing turnkey projects and managing bid negotiations. Richard later joined Prysmian, where they served as a Senior Project Manager, managing the installation and commissioning of high voltage XLPE cables. Richard eventually became the Manager of the Services Business Unit, responsible for the cable service business and developing new business opportunities. In 2011, Richard joined NKT Cables as a Project Director, a position they still hold.

Richard Middleton attended the Southampton Institute of Engineering & Technology from 1989 to 1992, where they obtained an HNC in Mechanical & Plant Engineering. There is no additional information available about their education after this period.
