Ryan Ruggiero

Ryan Ruggiero has extensive work experience in the media industry, with a focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion. Ryan currently serves as the Senior Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at CNBC and NBCU News Group, where they develop initiatives and executes programming to recruit, retain, and develop diverse employees. Ryan also chairs eight Englewood Cliffs NBCUniversal Employee Resource Groups, managing budgets and organizing events. In addition, they previously worked as the Director of Newsroom Outreach Strategy & Initiatives and Senior Assignment Desk Manager at CNBC, overseeing news gathering activities and breaking news coverage. Ryan has also held positions including Internship Program Manager at CNBC, President of NLGJA: The Association of LGBTQ Journalists, and Chair of OUT@NBCUniversal. Prior to their media career, they worked as an Accountant at Carlton A. Caron, CPA.

Ryan Ruggiero graduated from Suffolk University - Sawyer Business School in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, with a focus on Accounting. Additionally, they obtained several certifications related to diversity, inclusion, and unconscious bias from LinkedIn in 2020. The certifications include "Unconscious Bias," "Developing a Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging Program," and "Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging."
