Rik Burgersdijk is the Founder and CEO of Proforto, leading a fast-growing scale-up in workwear and safety equipment since September 2014. Under Rik's leadership, Proforto has become the online market leader in the Benelux region, achieving the highest customer satisfaction rate in the sector. Additionally, Rik serves as an Entrepreneur Mentor at nlgroeit and holds the position of Shopping Awards-vakexpert for Shopping Awards since December 2019. Previously, Rik contributed as a member of the B2B Expert Group for ShoppingTomorrow from January to December 2019. Rik holds a Bachelor's degree in Small Business and Retail Management from HAN University of Applied Sciences and completed HAVO education at Stedelijke Scholen Gemeenschap Nijmegen.

Op 13 januari 2016 is nlgroeit gelanceerd: een publiek-private samenwerking tussen het Ministerie van Economische Zaken, NLevator en de Kamer van Koophandel. Doelstelling van dit initiatief is om het groeivermogen in het midden- en kleinbedrijf in Nederland te vergroten.
