Sean Gallivan

Sean Gallivan is a seasoned professional in the field of optics and laser technology, currently serving as a Senior Fiber Laser Process and Data Engineer at nLIGHT since December 2017, after progressing from the role of Fiber Laser Process Engineer. Prior experience includes roles as a Design and Applications Engineer and Engineering Intern at Timbercon, Inc. Between June 2013 and July 2014, Sean Gallivan contributed as an Optics Graduate Student at the University of Oregon, where accomplishments included the design of a single photon polarizing interferometer and a Sagnac fiber optic gyroscope. Additionally, Sean Gallivan worked as a Physics Lab Educator at OMSI, focusing on interactive physics demonstrations, and managed retail operations at Chef's Table Gourmet Grocer from June 2004 to September 2008. Sean Gallivan holds a Master of Science in Applied Physics from the University of Oregon and a Bachelor of Science in Physics from Portland State University.
