Alexandra Wall

Director of Strategic Operations and Impact at nLine

Alexandra Wall has a diverse work experience spanning multiple organizations and roles. Alexandra started their career as a Community Economic Development Facilitator with the Peace Corps in 2014. Alexandra then worked as a Project Coordinator for the Guanacaste Community Fund.

In 2016, Alexandra joined the Center for Effective Global Action as a Program Associate in Financial Inclusion, where they supported the management of a portfolio of grants and helped develop partnerships and research projects. Alexandra also conducted focus group discussions with small and medium-sized business owners in Mexico to understand adoption and usage of e-payment technologies.

Alexandra later became a Senior Program Associate at the Center for Effective Global Action, focusing on Digital Financial Services. In this role, they supported the management of grants across several countries and co-organized an annual convening on the psychology and economics of poverty. Alexandra also conducted fieldwork in Mexico funded by Visa's Global Financial Inclusion Program.

In 2019, Alexandra worked as a Graduate Consultant at CARE, assessing the use of CARE's Climate Change and Resilience Marker among country offices. Alexandra also worked as a Graduate Consultant at Acumen, researching innovative ways to use customer data for social impact measurement.

In 2020, Alexandra joined Save the Elephants as a Graduate Intern, where they contributed to the expansion of women's economic empowerment activities and helped establish a Women's Enterprise Center. Alexandra also worked as a Graduate Consultant at Save the Elephants, conducting research on community participation in digital data collection and monitoring projects in Kenya.

In the same year, Alexandra joined WildAid as an Impact Measurement Strategist, evaluating impact measurement methods for sea turtle policy and consumer behavior change campaigns in China.

Currently, Alexandra is the Director of Strategic Operations and Impact at nLine, where they manage a portfolio of energy projects in Sub-Saharan Africa. Alexandra collaborates with partners in government, academia, foreign aid, and energy service provision to accelerate the provision of reliable electricity to end customers.

Alexandra Wall has a Master of Development Practice (MDP) degree with a focus in Applied Data Science from the University of California, Berkeley. Alexandra also holds a Graduate Certificate in Information and Communication Technologies and Development (ICTD) from the UC Berkeley School of Information. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Economics and International Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Additionally, Alexandra spent a semester studying abroad at the University of Cape Town. Alexandra has also obtained several certifications, including Introduction to Data Science and Learning Excel: Data Analysis from LinkedIn, as well as Blockchain for International Development from TechChange.
