Margaret Odero

Margaret Odero has a diverse work experience that spans over the past few years. Margaret began their career as a Communications Intern at Akili Dada in 2015. In 2016, they worked as a Math Tutor and Design Thinking Student Consultant at Ashesi University. Following this, in 2017, they served as a Research and Data Analysis Assistant at InfoNET Africa, where they conducted operational research and provided technical support for various projects.

In 2018, Margaret worked as a Data Analysis Consultant for AMRE (Applied Methods Research Experience) at Western Reserve Group, where they utilized statistical methods and programming languages to analyze customer segments and profitability. Margaret also served as the Project Lead at Tuungane Cosmopolitan Garden during this time.

In 2019, Margaret took on the role of Curriculum Developer at Catalyst Learning Limited. The following year, they became a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Carnegie Mellon University Africa, where they assisted in teaching courses related to wireless networks and telecommunications.

Margaret's most recent employment has been at nLine, where they initially worked as an Energy Reliability Data Analyst, utilizing Python tools for data scraping and building machine learning models. Margaret has since transitioned to the role of Data Analyst, where they provide analysis and reports for engineering research questions, as well as modeling and analyzing algorithms to improve power quality metrics.

Margaret Odero completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Ashesi University, where they studied from 2015 to 2019. Following their undergraduate studies, they pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University Africa, from 2019 to 2020.

In addition to their formal education, Margaret has also obtained several certifications to enhance their skills and knowledge. In April 2021, they obtained a certification in Python from TestDome. Margaret further expanded their expertise by completing courses such as "SQL for Data Science" on Coursera in August 2020, and "Data Engineering Foundations," "Using Python for Automation," and "Advanced Python" on LinkedIn between 2021 and 2023. Furthermore, they obtained a certification in "Data Visualizations with Plotly" from LinkedIn in April 2023.
