Director Of Materials Development at NLM Photonics

Delwin Elder has an extensive work experience in the field of materials development and research. Delwin is currently working as the Director of Materials Development at NLM Photonics since October 2018. Prior to this, they were a Research Scientist and Lab Manager at the University of Washington starting from 2010. Delwin also has a significant tenure at Air Products and Chemicals, where they held various positions such as Principal Research Chemist from October 2006 to 2009, Principal Research Chemist from 2003 to September 2006, and Senior Research Chemist from September 1999 to September 2003. Delwin'swork at Air Products and Chemicals involved synthesizing conducting polymer materials for OLED and OPV, developing polymer electrolytes for lithium batteries, and researching wetting properties of surfactants. Delwin's expertise extends to areas such as enhancing conductivity of conducting polymers, evaluating thermal and conductivity properties of electrolytes, and evaluating perfluorinated gases in plasma-enhanced chemical vapor deposition.

Delwin Elder obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where they studied from 1990 to 1994. Delwin further pursued their education and completed a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Caltech between the years 1994 and 1999.
