Japhet Shirima

Japhet Shirima has extensive experience in auditing and accounting. Japhet is currently working as the Chief Internal Auditor at the Nelson Mandela African Institute of Science and Technology (NM-AIST) since June 2021. Prior to that, they worked as an Auditor at the National Audit Office of Tanzania from October 2011 to June 2021. Japhet also worked as an Accountant at AAR INSURANCE TANZANIA LIMITED in January 2011 before transitioning to the role of an Auditor later that year.

Japhet Shirima earned a Bcom in Finance from the University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM) between the years 2007 and 2010. Later, from 2016 to 2017, they pursued an Msc-FI (Master of Science in Finance and Investment) at Coventry University.
