Bas Steunebrink has a strong background in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. Bas co-founded NNAISENSE in 2014 and has been involved in the company since then. Prior to that, they worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the Swiss AI lab IDSIA from 2010 to 2017. Bas also has experience as a PhD researcher in AI at Universiteit Utrecht from 2006 to 2010. During their time at Universiteit Utrecht, they lectured and taught courses on various topics in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence. Their PhD thesis focused on the logical structure of emotions and their impact on decision making.
Bas Steunebrink attended Utrecht University where they completed their Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Computer Science, with a specialization in Artificial Intelligence, from 2001 to 2006. Following this, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Artificial Intelligence at Utrecht University from 2006 to 2010.
