Ricardo Mota has worked in various roles related to embedded software engineering, robotics, and control systems. Their most recent position was as an Embedded Software Engineer at Noa Technologies Inc., starting in May 2023. Before that, they worked at Aerospacelab as an Embedded Software Engineer for spacecraft flight systems from May 2022 to February 2023. Prior to that, they were with Spire as an Embedded Software Engineer for free space optical communications from October 2021 to May 2022. Ricardo also worked as an Embedded Systems Engineer at Celestia Portugal from January 2020 to September 2021 and at Petrotec Group from April 2018 to January 2020. Ricardo Mota pursued a MSc in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at Universidade Nova de Lisboa's Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia from 2007 to 2014. In addition to their degree, they also obtained various certifications related to their field.
In 2016, Ricardo attended the Robot Operating System (ROS) Summer School at FH Aachen University of Applied Sciences. This certification provided him with knowledge and skills in operating the Robot Operating System.
In 2019, they acquired the Ethical Hacking certification from CyberS3c.pt, demonstrating their expertise in ethical hacking techniques.
Later, in 2021, Ricardo obtained two certifications from SPACEWAY. The first one was the Concurrent Engineering Summer School, which they completed in July, showcasing their competency in the field of concurrent engineering. The second certification, Mission Analysis and Engineering of Nanosatellites, was achieved in March, certifying their proficiency in mission analysis and engineering specifically related to nanosatellites.
