Lizette Guzman-Zaragoza has a diverse work experience, beginning in 2012 with a Research Assistant role at SEA TURTLE CONSERVANCY, INC. Lizette then served as an Intern at The Science Exchange Sea Turtle Internship Program. In 2014, they worked as a Plant Identification Lead at the California Native Plant Society and Co-Instructor at College of San Mateo. From 2015 to 2017, they held various roles at San Francisco State University, including Graduate Student Researcher, Laboratory Technician, and Graduate Teaching Assistant. Lizette also worked as a Tutor at Tutor Corps from 2016-2017. In 2017, they joined Nobell Foods as an Operations Lead, Safety Officer, Research Assistant (Plant Transformation), Lab Technician (Plant Transformation), Lab Manager, and Laboratory Assistant. Additionally, they have served as an Advisory Board Member for The Science Exchange Sea Turtle Internship Program since 2016.
Lizette Guzman-Zaragoza received their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Biology, General from San Diego State University between 2008 and 2013. Lizette then went on to pursue a Master's degree in Evolutionary Biology at San Francisco State University, which they completed between 2015 and 2018.
