Viviane Lanquar

VP of Plant Biology at Nobell Foods

Viviane Lanquar has over 12 years of work experience in the field of plant biology. Viviane began their career as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Carnegie Institution for Science, Stanford in 2007, where they studied the phosphorylation of an ammonium transporter and conducted comparative phosphoproteomics on membrane proteins and established metabolic labeling for plants. In 2009, they joined the Marie Curie Alumni Association as a Postdoctoral Researcher - Marie Curie Fellow, where they developed protein FRET sensors in yeasts and plant cells and used microfluidic techniques and fluorescence microscopy. In 2014, Viviane joined JUST as Director of Discovery, where they led the plant sourcing, automation, bioinformatics, data systems and molecular teams and developed a biotechnology platform to screen and identify novel plant proteins for food applications. Viviane was later promoted to Lead Senior Scientist, Biochemistry and Director of Biochemistry, Discovery. In 2019, Viviane joined Nobell Foods as VP of Plant Biology and Director of Plant Biology.

Viviane Lanquar obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Biology/Biological Sciences, General from Paris-Sud University (Paris XI) between 2003 and 2007. Prior to that, they earned their Master's degree in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry from Pierre and Marie Curie University in 2002-2003.
