Claus Bachmann

Claus Bachmann is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in the drilling and marine engineering sectors. Currently serving as Vice President at Noble Corporation since November 2022, Claus also holds the position of Senior Vice President at Maersk Drilling since January 2020. Previous roles include COO and Vice President at Maersk Supply Service and Vice President of Deepwater Drilling Units at A.P. Moller - Maersk, where Claus was responsible for profit/loss and operational oversight of multiple drilling units in regions including the Gulf of Mexico, Egypt, West Africa, and the Caspian Sea. Claus began a career with Maersk Drilling in 1991, advancing from a driller trainee to Vice President of the Deep Water Drilling Segment. Educational credentials include an Executive Master’s in Innovation, Strategy, and Leadership from INSEAD and a degree in Marine Engineering from Svenborg Maskin Mester Skole, supplemented by studies at the University of Stavanger.
