Principal, Federal Civilian Solutions at Noblis

Mahesh Balagangadhar has worked in various roles and companies throughout their career. In 1997, they started as a Member of Technical Staff at Nokia Bell Labs, where they managed teams and worked on projects for Verizon Wireless and ATT Wireless. Mahesh also collaborated with the Lucent Microelectronics group on implementing the hands-free audio portion of GM OnStar® in-vehicle navigation product.

In 2002, Mahesh joined Sprint Nextel as a Senior Network Engineer, responsible for managing network performance in the New York City market. Mahesh also contributed to improving performance metrics on a region-wide basis.

In 2003, they joined CommScope (formerly Andrew Corporation) as a Principal Systems Engineer, where they led new product design and validation activities, focusing on GeoLENs™ Mobile Location Center (MLC) product line. Mahesh established and led the interoperability testing of MLC with various mobile handset OEM vendors.

Moving on to Booz Allen Hamilton in 2012, Mahesh held roles such as Lead Technologist and Associate. in these roles, they developed and implemented a risk management program for the Department of Commerce's First Responder Network Authority (FirstNet) agency. Mahesh also led technology strategy and policy development activities for the Department of Homeland Security's Emergency Communications and Preparedness Center (ECPC) and US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) agencies. Additionally, Mahesh established the ECPC Research and Development Focus Group to coordinate R&D efforts in emergency communications across multiple government departments.

Mahesh'smost recent position is with Noblis, where they hold the role of Principal, Federal Civilian Solutions. Unfortunately, the start and end dates for this role are not provided.

Mahesh Balagangadhar obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering from Anna University in the years 1991 to 1995. Following that, they pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Electrical Engineering from Syracuse University during 1995 to 1997. In 2020, they acquired a certification in Cybersecurity: Managing Risk in the Information Age from HarvardX.
