Taft Irons

Taft Irons currently serves as a Senior System Engineer at Noblis, focusing on GOES-R Ground Segment Sustainment since December 2018. Previously, Taft held positions as a Senior Systems Engineer with Cyberdata Technologies, Inc. from September 2017 to November 2018, supporting NOAA's weather and climate computing infrastructure, and at Noblis from March 2015 to September 2017, where technical guidance and telecommunications support for NOAA's network resiliency upgrades were provided. Experience at Harris Corporation spanned over eleven years, involving roles such as Lead Systems Engineer for GOES-R deployment and Systems Engineer in various capacities related to global geospatial intelligence. Early career positions included Managerial roles at Navteq Corporation overseeing database operations and business in the New England region. Taft Irons holds a Master's Degree in Systems Engineering from the Florida Institute of Technology and a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
