Jonathan Charlesworth has a long and varied career in the field of clinical research, digital health, and data science. Jonathan began their career in 2006 as a Student Researcher at Princeton University. In 2007, they earned a Neuroscience PhD from UCSF. From 2012 to 2016, they worked at Thync where they were a Senior Scientist and Custom Vibes Program Leader. During their time at Thync, they were the technical lead for the invention, development, and productization of Energy Vibes, and they conceptualized and led the post-launch Custom Vibes program that personalized the neuromodulation waveforms to improve efficacy. Jonathan also developed analytics platforms and tools to support product, marketing, and customer success strategies. From 2016 to 2018, Jonathan worked at Fitbit as a Staff Research Scientist and Senior Research Scientist. During their time at Fitbit, they developed and managed the digital health research roadmap, developed external partnerships with leading clinical and academic institutions, launched product features that track cognitive and mental health, and developed machine learning algorithms. In 2018, they began their current role as VP Clinical Research at Noctrix Health, Inc.
Jonathan Charlesworth began their educational journey in 1999 when they attended Maggie L. Walker Governor's School. In 2003, they graduated from Princeton University with an AB in Molecular Biology. Jonathan then went on to pursue a PhD in Neuroscience at the University of California, San Francisco, which they completed in 2012.
