Bob Lansing

Bob Lansing is a Distinguished Member of Technical Staff at Nokia, where they provide remote and on-site production support for optics products and develop repair strategies for new optics technologies. With a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Tufts University, Bob has extensive experience in manufacturing test and new product introduction for optics-based telecommunications products. Previously, Bob held significant roles at Western Electric, Lucent Technologies, Alcatel-Lucent, and AT&T Technologies, contributing to automated test facility design, quality auditing, and project management while mentoring young engineers and leading test development teams. They have implemented methodologies that resulted in substantial cost improvements and conducted technology transfers for manufacturing operations globally.
